ENGINE Troubleshooting (common troubleshooting guides, wizards, and so on)


1.4 Wear of Piston, Piston Ring, Bearing, and Axle Journal , including,Cylinder Packing Causes:

A. Air leakages between the air filter and the turbocharger.
B. Too high sulfuric contents in fuel.

Remedies:

A. Replace parts if necessary, ensure there is no leakage.
B. Check specification of fuel/ contact with the fuel supplier.
1.5 Engine Decoupling Causes:
A. Pull -- rod of throttle.
B. Air in the oil inlet passage.
C. Friction of high speed movement of the speed adjustor.

Remedies:

A. Check if the gap of connect pints of the pull -- rod is too large, adjust for correct gap, replace component if necessary.
B. Check if there is leakage, replace the damaged parts.
C. Repair the speed adjustor, replace if necessary.
1.6.Engine Vibrates

Causes:

A. Faults on oil injector or improper type.
B. Friction of control system of rotary speed.
C. Too high temp. of engine.
D. Damage of cooling fan.
E. Assemble faults of engine.
F. Faults on oil inject pump.
G. Low compressive pressure.
H. Adopt wrong HP pipes or installed mistakenly.
I. lmprover alignment of bell housing and flywheel.

Remedies:

A. Check, adjust or repair oil injector or select correct type.
B. Check, clean.
C. Check, add coolant, inspect fan, thermostat, check water leakage.
D. Repair fan.
E. Contact with the authorized repairman.
F. Ask agent to check the oil inject pump.
G. Shown on "low compressive pressure".
H. Replace or correct.
I. Contact with agent.

1.7.Engine Running Unstably

Causes:

A. Block of fuel pipe.
B. Fault on oil transfer pump.
C. Dirty filter for fuel oil.
D. Improper adjust/assembly of spring of speed adjustor.
E. Fault of oil injector or wrong type.
F. Block of ventilation of fuel tank.
G. Air in the fuel system.
H. Block of air filter or wrong type.
I. Friction of rotary speed control system of engine.
J. Too high temp. of engine.
K. Improper gap of air door.
L. Excess lub. Oil or improper brand of oil.
M. Faults on cold start system.
N. Block of the exhaust pipe.
O. Faults on oil injecting pump.
P. Low compressive pressure.
Q. Friction of air door.
R. HP oil pipe selected or installed mistakenly.
S. Break of spring of air door.

Remedies:
A. Check/replace fuel pipe.
B. Check/repair oil transfer pump, replace if necessary.
C. Replace filter for fuel oil.
D. Adjust /replace spring of speed adjustor.
E. Check/adjust or replace oil injector.
F. Clean/install pipes of ventilation.
G. Remove air in the fuel system.
H. Replace air filter/ensure correct type.
I. Check, clean.
J. Shown on"temp. of coolant above the normal".
K. Check/adjust gap of air door.
L. Check and adjust oil volume or replace with correct kind and type.
M. Install cold start supplement set. Check, repair cold start set, replace if necessary.
N. Check and remove block, ensure correct size of the exhaust pipe.
O. Contact with local agent.
P. Shown on "low compressive pressure".
Q. Clean rod of air door and hole of conduit.
R. Correct or replace.
S. Replace spring of air door.

1.8.Too Large Lub. Oil Consumption Rate

Causes:
A. Wear of bearing and sealing ring of turbocharger.

B. Break or wear of piston ring.
C. Wear or damage of cylinder packing and piston.
D. Improper brand of lub. Oil.

Remedies:
A. Repair/replace turbocharger, check lub. Oil.
B. Replace cycle shown on"wear of piston, piston ring, bearing, axle journal".
C. Shown on"wear of piston, piston ring, bearing, axle journal".
D. Replace lub. Oil/ filter, ensure adoption of proper lub. Oil.

1.9.The engine knocking cylinder
Causes:
A. Faults on oil Transfer pump.
B. Fault on oil injector or improper type.
C. Faults on the cold start system.
D. Apply mistaken type or brand of fuel.
E. Improper adjust of control rod of throttle.
F. Too high temp. engine.
G. Improper gap of air door.
H. Excess lub. Oil or mistaken spec. of lub. Oil.
I. Air leakage of oil suction pipe.
J. Improper timing of oil supply.
K. Friction of air door.
L. Low compressive pressure.
M. Wear or damage of crank bearing.
N. Break of spring of air door.

Remedies:
A. Check/ repair transfer pump, replace if necessary.
B. Check/adjust or replace oil injector.
C. Install the cold start set, check, repair, replace if necessary.
D. Apply super diesel with low sulfur content, max. of 0.05%.
E. Check strokeof throttle.
F.Shownontemp. of engine excels the normal±.
G. Adjust/check gap of air door.
H. Refer the manual for correct volume and spec.
I. Check leakage, replace the faulted parts.
J. Check the set data and adjust oil injector.
K. Clean/replace or regrind air door.
L. Shown on"low compressive pressure".
M. Replace crank bearing, check replace cycle.
N. Replace spring of air door.

1.10.The consumption of fuel excels the normal level

Causes:
A. Block of the air filter, or wrong type.
B. Block of the oil injector, or wrong type.
C. Too low temperature of engine.
D. Improper gap of the air door.
E. Faults or improper setup Of the pressure adjustor.
F. Improper timing of oil supply.
G. Improper adjustment of the oil control rod.
H. Thin air owing to too high ambient temp. or altitude.
I. Overload of engine.
J. Fuel leakages inside or outside.
K. Friction Of ventilation of the fuel box.
L. Friction of the exhaust pipe.
M. Faults on the cold start system.
N. Friction of air door.
O. Low compressive pressure.
Remedies:
A. Find out causes/ replace if necessary.
B. Check/adjust or replace the injector.
C. Shown on "temp.of coolant below normal temp".
D. Adjust/check gap of the air door.
E. Repair/readjust.
F. Check the data of the injector and adjust.
G. Check full stroke of throttle.
H. Modify as the sales manual of engine.
I. Check max. load, decrease if necessary.
J. Removal of leakages.
K. Clean /add vent pipe.
L. Inspect friction of the exhaust pipe and proper size.
M. Install the cold start set, check, repair, and replace if necessary.
N. Clean/replace or regrind air door.
